Marcus Cheetham
Dr. phil. Dipl.-Psych., Applied Cognitive Science and Human Factors
My interest is in bridging the gap between knowledge from basic research and theory (e.g., on values-related decision making) and the practice of designing digital decision aids that help individuals make and communicate difficult health-related choices. These choices are often made under conditions of high information complexity, uncertainty and personal risk. At present, this cross-disciplinary work focusses on leveraging knowledge about individual differences between users (e.g., in their personal needs, abilities and preferences when making such choices) to help inform key elements of the design of interactive decision aids.
